About Us

About Us

Trinity United Methodist Church was founded in 1962 with the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We believe in the Holy Trinity. We believe that God, the Father is the creator of everything. We believe in Jesus Christ, whose life, death and resurrection demonstrates God’s redeeming love. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who reminds us that God is present in our midst.

Over the past decades, Trinity UMC has been active in outreach to the community such as FISH (Friend I Shall Help), a program that provides food and assistance to those in need among other annual activities not only for our members but also for the community. Currently half of our congregation meets weekly with students at Lakewood Elementary School, serving as mentors. We believe that the church is not a separate entity from the community but part of the community and we strive to participate actively in the greater Carpentersville community.

Trinity United Methodist Church partners with Bethel New Faith Community (Live!), Iglesia Metodista Unida El Mesias in Elgin, First United Methodist Church of West Dundee, and Barrington United Methodist Church in multisite ministries. We recognize that we serve better together and therefore work together, share resources, and also gather together occasionally for worship. All are welcome to participate in the ministries of the multisite community.
